And The Moon Shines On

What to do on a rainy day here out on the beautiful Long Beach Peninsula.  I think I'll blog just a little bit and give everyone another taste of Toasted.  Today I'm uploading, And The Moon Shines On to the Toasted Blog.  If you like it tell all your friends, relatives, close associations ( whatever that means), enemies, lovers and X lovers.  The song was written by Fred Carter and Chuck Whittey.  I remember Fred asking Chuck for some help with the lyrics as Chuck is truly a word smith.  Also at the time I had been studying piano with Barbara Poulshock and so a little Bach was written into the song.  And The Moon Shines on is an environmental song about the loss of our oceans to the millions of tons of garbage that is  dumped in it everyday.  We must stop this and stop it now.  I have dived on reefs in Florida, Jamaica and Mexico and most of these beautiful reefs are turning into devastated bleached out desserts.  We need to be more aware of what's happening in our oceans.

I hope you enjoy And The Moon Shines On and remember the album Toasted can be purchased at the Peninsula Senior Center, the Bold art gallery and Adelaides in Ocean Park.  If you aren't anywhere near the peninsula please email me bryanfos@icloud.com and I will mail you a copy for 15.00.

Have a great Sunday!

KMUN Radio Interview

Fred and I were interviewed on KMUN by Carol Newman about our new album.  If you get a chance click on the link and have a listen!  We enjoyed the phone in interview and also got to hear The Moon Shines On by way of the radio.  https://coastradio.org/podcast/arts-live-local-january-29-2021/?fbclid=IwAR0HJ3L-9RoOG6Ifsv0VzqJRta_HDD8mNCHbqg_2gjAicCphBiBbO2fSCyE

Light at the end of the tunnel

There is light at the end of the tunnel!  Fred and I were both vaccinated and will get our second in a couple weeks!  Getting closer and closer to playing live music.  And guess what!  On the news this morning it was said Pacific County will be able to move into phase 2 of opening.  This means indoor dining is on it's way back.  This has only happened because of all the great people in Pacific County dawning face masks, social distancing and washing hands.  My neighbors are the greatest!

More big news!  Fred and I will be interviewed on KMUN today at 3:30 this afternoon.  If you haven't heard our new album yet, today is the day to listen to a few tracks on the radio!  Be sure to tune into KMUN 91.9 or demand your smart speaker to play KMUN.  If you like what you hear why not buy the album for your listening pleasure or buy one for a friend.  The CD's can be purchased at the Peninsula Senior Center or contact Toasted, bryanfos@icloud.com or fill out the contact form on this page.

Remember it will not be very long until we are all out having a good time with friends, dining, dancing, enjoying a drink or two and live music.  Keep up the good work of protecting yourself and others from Covid and we will see y'all soon!
